How WhyRent works

Welcome to WhyRent

WhyRent is a peer-to-peer rental platform designed specifically for students. It connects students who have items to lend with those who need to borrow them temporarily.

For Renters (Borrowing)

1. Browse items - Search for what you need or browse by category
2. Check availability - Select your dates and see if the item is free
3. Send a request - Request to rent and wait for the owner to approve
4. Pay securely - Once approved, pay through our secure payment system
5. Pick up the item - Meet the owner and confirm pickup in the app
6. Return it - Return the item on time and confirm in the app

For Lenders (Sharing your stuff)

1. List your item - Add photos, description, and set your daily price
2. Approve requests - Review rental requests and accept ones you're happy with
3. Hand over the item - Meet the renter and confirm handover
4. Get paid - Receive payment after the rental is complete
